Germantown, Collierville, etc in (wayyyy like 20-30 miles east of downtown) East Memphis are nice places to live in and are all white (white flight). The blacks in Memphis can not afford NBA playoff tickets, hell they can barely afford the 5-10 buck tickets for reg season upper decks, yet for some reason we drop the incredible FedEx forum down on Beale St (**** Beale St btw fukin ghetto version of Bourbon St) a few blocks from the ghetto when all its potential customers live 25 miles away. I know its tradition to put arenas downtown but **** if your downtown looks like Memphis BREAK TRADITION!

Yes that area is beautiful but would probably not be an ideal place for an arena bc its kinda off the beaten path, something closer to the interstate and more directly in an active business area would have been incredible, something around exit 16 to 18 near the Wolfchase Galleria would've been 10x better than having to drive into the ghetto to see a game

I live between Chicago & Milwaukee (but on the Illinois side so it's the Chicago suburbs still). I've been to the Bradley Center in Milwaukee for regular Bucks games and also games vs. the Bulls. The only time that upper deck ain't 100% black in Milwaukee is when us Chicago & Illinois folk head up north and take over the arena for those Bulls matchups and bring with us a more mixed crowd.

On the other hand the United Center in Chicago has a much different dynamic. Lower bowl is very affluent & wealthy folk. Lotta corporate beneficiaries here. Kinda mixed but the diversity you'll see down there is more of the Jewish / Asian / Indian variety mixed in with rich country club WASPS and their families. The blacks down here either know someone or have money a la Carlton Banks's family from the Fresh Prince. Upper deck is more down to earth, and way more mixed than the majority black crowd in Milwaukee's upper deck @ the Bradley.

In milwaukee when someone has upper level tickets they say "i'm sitting on the black level"
