Because the average NBA fan loves his highlight reel dunks and "cool and calm straight faced" demeanor. But fact is most average NBA fans who aren't degenerate gamblers aren't staying up and watching Clipper games until 1AM on the East Coast, so most fans don't even know how much of an arrogrant prick this guy is.
