This is one of the most surprising developments I've ever seen. Struggling is one thing, but this is ridiculous.

its past the point of its early in the season
once you hit 100 AB's its a problem
not saying he won't turn it around but there is zero chance he has a typical season
one bad year. one year older next year.
Angels have to be worried

He'll be fine. He's going to go on a nice streak a few weeks before the all star break.
And when they win a world series in the next few years...it will be worth it.
They HAVE the pitching already

guy is gonna have to hit .400 the rest of the way and hit 30 hrs and 100+ rbis to come anywhere near his career average. What a bust, especially for Fantasy players who got him top 3 overall

if they win one and he is a big part of it they will think the 240 million was worth it

Lance Berkman gets to St. Louis old and out of shape and then is better than he ever was. Similar thing happening to Carlos Beltran now.
Every Cardinals player should be tested for steroids DAILY. There is obviously something going on there that isn't legitimate.
There is no control in that organization. Players dying from DUI's or drug overdoses every few years, hiring proven cheaters...
To call an offer that insane an insult did not please Jobu and the baseball gods....

I remember some guy writing an article saying that Pujols was still getting used to that pacific time zone... I laughed out loud. Just another Angels homer trying to make excuses
Pujols is struggling that is for sure. But it is WAY to early to say this season is a bust.
Lets see how he is doing at the all star break.

lance berkman was always a decent player though .... just when he was on the yankees he never played ... look at his stats per year ... and being old and out of shape has nothing to do with you putting up decent numbers in a weak ass division ... playin in the national league is a joke compared to playing in the american league ... pitching is way better
and dont say the nationals ... they play minor league ball clubs in that nl east .. only team you can compare is the braves and they arent even that good ...

If you think Berkman has ever taken steroids you're out of your mind.

You cant look at a guy and tell if he is on anabolic steroids.
Depends on what kind of steroids you take, how much you take, how long you take them. How much you eat while your on steroids
How anabolic that particular steroid is.

that makes no sense, my friend.
they are 8-3 vs central 4-5 vs west (a lot of road games)
And don't forget, nats are missing their best bull pen guy in storen, and probably second best in lidge.
also missing their two best offensive players mourse and zimmerman. give the nats some credit my friend.

the central has 1 good team right now .. the cards .. and the nl west is a complete joke offensively .... padres and giants can barely put up 2-3 runs a game and the dodgers revolve around 1 player ... the rockies are an offensive machine when they are home in that gay stadium

Actually Beltran's numbers this year are worse than they were last year hitting pitcher friendly parks. And outside of 2010 (when he played hurt), Berkman's number look look pretty much like they looked for the last decade.
