If you bet that on Saturday and the Heat win the series on Sunday then the annualized return is 7.57% which isn't bad considering there's virtually no risk involved. I wouldn't be surprised if a mutual fund manager would consider an investment like that for his/her fund.

In the world of sports betting it's pretty bad but in the world of finance it's not so bad.

Wow you really don't understand investing at all....picture this scenario, lebron lands awkwardly and ***** up his ankle...anyone that ever bets hundreds to win pennies deserves what they get.

You think they can't win 1 of the next 4 games without Lebron? Come on now

They'd still win the Series without Lebron.

The bet is crappy because there was no reason not to play at the start of the series for a much better price.
Knicks had zero chance to win the series and you'd be getting over 10% roi.

Lol obviuosly no one would make a bet like that..it's pointless...but lets say for the sake of argument maybe the heat can take a game without lebron, but why would you want to need that at a 1/500 shot...point is sports betting can't be compared to the market...we get clueless people talking about 7% annualized returns trying to show off their intellect, when in reality they sound so fukin retarded it's unreal....oh yea and good luck getting 500 billion down on that play as a fund manager...

What's so retarded about what he said? He simply stated that while a play like this that yields a 7% return in sports betting is considered 'stupid', others (such as mutual funds manager), would view this investment in a much different manner.
