Half the island of St.Maarten is owned by the French,half by the Dutch.You don't even know you are crossing the border except for the fact one side only has gambling and betting.Has anyone here ever been there when in the Caribbean?They run some dirt cheap last minute flights on MLT travel out of many places including the twin cities in Minnesota.I suppose once you get there,everything is expensive though.
I have a hunch it's sort of a stuffy euro atmosphere in the casinos and not an open casual style like Las Vegas.Am I right on that?
