    St.X destroys Trinity
this is always the biggest game in the state every year. the 2 biggest all male Catholic high schools in Louisville or the state for that matter, always have a huge crowd. The game used to be played at the old Cardinal Stadium at the fairgrounds. I have probably been to about 9-10 games from the late 80's through the early 00's. I haven't been in a while, but man those games are classic fun. I remember the high school championship between them in 97' or 98', me and some friends went and it was mudder fockin' cold, like wind chill in the single digits cold, St. X won that game 3-0.

I thought for sure Trinity would win or come close in tonights game after beating St. X of Cincinnati, who was ranked or are ranked in the top 25 in the nation.

nice article in todays paper about NFL films have been filming the 2 schools this week for a small documentary segment to be aired later. The attendance at the regular season meeting between these 2 every year is usually 30,000 plus. I remember a game in like 93' or 94' at Cardinal stadium where the attendance was around 36,000 or something like that. I was trashed at those games back then , but they have played at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, the new home of UofL for the past 8-9 years probably.

    heres that story

NFL Films has been filming at both schools this week and will be on hand for tonight's 8 p.m. matchup at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. It's all part of a one-hour documentary that will air on CBS at 1 p.m. Nov. 8.

NFL Films producer Jason Weber said the network aired six such shows last year that focused on the nation's top high school football games.

"This game obviously stood out," Weber said. "It's the highest-attended high school football game in the country. That made us wonder, 'Why is it so big?' "

The NFL Films crew has been at practices and pep rallies this week and plans to air interviews and game footage during the Nov. 8 broadcast.

"It's a great compliment to us," St. X coach Mike Glaser said. "They're very good, and they haven't been in the way."

Trinity coach Bob Beatty said he's enjoyed having the cameras around -- even in the huddle.

"They were in the middle of my colon (Tuesday). Jiminy Christmas!" he said. "That camera was in the huddle, right beside my ear. They had a boom (microphone) that went over my head. … But, no, I welcome them. What an honor. To be on NFL Films, that's pretty good stuff."

apparently from yesterdays paper, St. X of Cincy chose to throw the ball against Trinity and they lost.
St. X of Louisville chose to run the ball and ran so at will.

also attendance was like 38,820 , beating the 05' record of 38,200 or something like that.
