I have been to marathons like this, and you don't want to be the dumbass that left and missed the exciting finish, but after 4 or 5 hours and 4 or 5 beers you have had enough

capitals fans are fake fans anyway. i saw some idiot walking around with an ovechkin jersey. i tried to talk hockey with him, but it quickly became evident he was a fake fan. he didn't even know the names of any of the 3rd or 4th line players. he only knew the names of 3 or 4 players on the whole team. thats pretty bad. if you arent fan, why you walking around with jersey on shouting "Go Caps" at the bar? he openly admitted he doesnt follow them at all during year and just watches in playoffs. well then why the heck you wearing a jersey? You can spot the real caps fans vs. the fake ones. want to know how? The fake fans wear ovechkin jerseys because he's the only player on the team they know. they dont know names of any other players. Next caps game when they show shot of crowd count how many ovechkin jerseys you see. its amazing.

Who r u the fan police? The regular seasons meaningless once you make the playoffs, look at home ice in these series. Ever think the best player is gona have the most jerseys lol.

most fans are "casual" and no matter what city i'm always amazed by how little they know.

even here in milwaukee where brewers' fans are considered knowledgeable, fans still cheer when the 2nd out is a fly ball that moves a guy to 3rd base.

i ask "what are you cheering that for" and the response i usually get is "that's a good sacrifice" when i tell them it's almost worthless to move a guy to 3rd base with 2 outs (and it certainly isn't worth making an out to do even if it's the pitcher up) it still goes whoosh right over their head

i was saying the game was going on so long that they wanted to go home

milwaukee has a hockey team (ahl admirals) but no nhl team because chicago always blocked it for being too close to the blackhawks
