Which is why when you do find stars who actually want to win instead of just "getting theirs," you can and will win championships.

Magic, Bird and Jordan were about winning. Nothing else mattered. Same goes for Kobe. I don't like the guy, but he's driven by titles and I respect that. 99.9% of this league doesn't care because of the insane money and lack of incentive.

You get a star like Dirk who suddenly decides a ring matters and nothing else -- that's what makes it fun to watch. Someone who has actually found true motivation to rely on and trust their teammates enough to win it all. I feel like LeBron is close, but I'm still not sure he's as hungry as he needs to be to win a title. He does and says all the right things between games, in interviews and for 47 minutes a night. We'll see if he joins the fraternity this year.

The NBA isn't what it used to be like in days of Magic and Bird. NFL is clearly a superior product. So is college BBall.

your about right.....thet have become so important as an individual to so many people that they have become jaded to normal reality.......most of them are greedy, selfish, unforgiving..ect...you name it.....most only help when the camera is on ect.....again...MOST....

It's why I hate the NBA. Too many primadonnas, too many players who only want to play for big market teams New York or LA(look at all the times in the past decade players are demanding a trade and the only teams on their trade list are Knicks or Lakers), too many players concerned about jersey sales and themselves.

It's an easy sport to bet on which is the only reason I care. The college game is superior in every facet.

When you are walking towards someone angry in a heated game you are down by- and clearly trip over your foot into a ref who is not walking away. What are you suppose to do? Fly away? Trip backwards? Watch the replays- not worth of a suspension.
