not accounting for strikeout splits and other factors like pitcher, etc. 3.9 percent.

Was this taking into account Kemp and Ethier's numbers this year which are hot as hell or just the overall MLB strikeout %?

its not as easy to come up with a percentage because there are so many factors that go into the chance of them getting a hit off of said pitcher. sure if you want to use avg rates of overall numbers you could get a mean number.

Ur probably right. Those two are on fire though. I think everyone who was backing the Dodgers were already trying to guess how many runs would be scored that inning, with the over/under at 3

it was using their career stikeout rate, but ethier has been strikeout more this year than previous years, so if you want just this year that percentage would higher and kemp always strikes out a lot. this year is no different.

this year the probability would have been 5.4 percent, but that is a rather small sample size of at bats.
