Thanks
Meeting with the current owners this Sunday to discuss some of the financials.
At this time, would say it is 50-50 that the deal will get done.

I hope it works out for you.Is it in an independent league?I live near Duluth,Minnesota and we have had a couple independent leagues for the past 20 years or so throughout the Dakotas,Minnesota,Wisconsin,Manitoba,Ont ario,Illinois,Iowa and Nebraska. Some teams like the Winnipeg Goldeyes and St.Paul Saints make a profit. There are alot of the teams that seem to be just a moneypit hobbie though for alot of owners. Then the teams have such lame and generic nicknames that no one buys their team merchandise. If you buy a team, name it something unique and catchy as to make some money from that venue.
Dana Kicker was a pitcher for the Red Sox and maybe another team or two during the 80's-90's.He's from a small town in Minnesota and he got this teenager that was totally disfigured in a train industrial fire accident to invest his settlement in an independent league team and the team went kaput.Someone should have rung Kicker's and the parents neck for that one. That was worse than what Gary Coleman's parents did to him.

if its baseball... i'd venture to say over 90% of those franchises lose, break even, or just barely make a profit... gotta really love the game...and as an owner, you gotta hire some good people...or be prepared to be involved in every aspect, including buying uniforms, baseballs, running the concessions, coming up with promotions, watering the damn grass, bailing players out after bar room brawls ect... to men, i'd love it if I had the money...

I thought the senior league folded around 1989. Are you trying to bring back the Miami Miracle?
