really cool idea, plug the box to your cable and you can watch it anywhere in the world. you can get HD channels as well. just ordered one so i can watch the dodgers when i am in melbourne.

I have one. One problem is that it's not that reliable. I've had cables come loose, a unit fail on me, issues with a particular router, etc. Not all of this is the Slingbox's fault but I've found that in practical terms, you can't expect it to always be ready to go. You pretty much need someone back at the place ready to reset it, etc. Maybe you will have more luck than I've had. I agree that it's a cool idea though, and when it works, it works. Note that your quality is limited by the available upstream bandwidth in your home though.
