    Take the Astros Tonight
Houston Astros Career statistics vs. R.A. Dickey
BATTER AB H 2B 3B HR RBI BB SO AVG OBP SLG OPS
    Brian Bixler 5 1 0 0 0 0 0 1 .200 .200 .200 .400

    Carlos Lee 21 8 3 0 1 5 0 2 .381 .381 .667 1.048

    Totals 73 26 9 0 3 10 1 6 .356 .360 .603 .963
Very small sample size, I know. But look deeper into the numbers. Lefties are hitting an even .400 off of Dickey this season. He has a 2.08 era at home and a 7.15 era on the road. He has allowed opposing batters on the road to hit .362 off of him. Last season against the Astros, Dickey was 0-2 with a 6.75 era. In 13.1 innings pitched against Houston he allowed 19 hits, 10 earned runs, 3 home runs and the Astros hit .333 against him. In his one start last season at Minute Maid, Dickey went 5.1 innings giving up 11 hits and 6 earned runs. Astros hit .407 off of him. That pencils out to a 10.13 era. I like the numbers a lot. Bud Norris isn't Cy Young but I think he can throw a quality start tonight while the Astros put up runs.

I think Lee is still out. I was leaning Mets but won't make a play here.

Dont care much about Lee. Want left handed bats all throughout the lineup tonight.

I would agree in some respects except for when it crosses from a team being a dog to a favorite.

Books readying themselves for the public Mets money coming in at game-time? No one really knows what the movement signifies. I'm just going with the numbers.

No, the line is moving toward houston for all the stats the guy listed.

No lee is huge though. just because he keeps the line moving.

Public money already coming in on the Mets. Didnt even have to wait until game-time. I like this play.

                    I disagree.

Plus, the public isn't on the Mets any more than the Astros so far. There's more driving the Mets than just public money.

74% on Astros RL so far.

I dont see how that matters. When it comes to baseball I like to cap games based off of numbers, not line movement. NCAAB was a different animal. Concentrating too much on line movement in baseball will make your head spin and throw you off your game. My opinion, anyways.

I agree...I've switched my pick so many times this season because of line movement and been burned more times than not. I don't even look at it anymore...

Rather lose a bet when I have the numbers on my side than lose a bet purely based off of line movement.

I feel the last 2 seasons when Dickey has been pitching the line moves for the Mets. The price gets inflated too much when he is on the mound.

Same with Baltimore last season. The line would move big for them and betters were getting buried all season.

not enough at bats to know how they are gonna do against dickey. I remember last year he got fuking torched by them in a day gm hence those stats. Also I no it was in Colorado but Mets offense lit up the scoreboard, no play for me

How efficient is a knuckleball in 10mph wind? Why is Lowrie batting third? Will Torres leading off tonight matter? Can Norris last a strong seven innings?
