Tigers pitching is terrible. Offense isn't doing a whole lot. Mariners have a perfect game thrown against them and they sweep the Tigers in Detroit. Not good.

For the life of me I could never understand why everyone was in love with this team. They have only one potential dimension on offense. Can't run, can't move runners, most of their outs come from fly balls and strikeouts. In a big park they are a bad fit. Martinez was so important to them, guy was perfect for that park, drove in over 100 runs with only 11 homers.

Defense has knee to knee range on the infield, guys playing out of positon. Pitching was due for regression.

They may win enough to take a weak division but they have a ton of holes. I am happy with my position on their total victory prop. Although it is early they will have a very hard time covering up their deficiencies. The teams they play in their own division are much more suited to Comerica than the Tigers are.

Wilk sent back down to the minors and looks like Fister is back. That's some good news at least. Brandon Inge being released is also a great thing for the Tigers.

I don't think the Tigers will lose this race; just too much talent and firepower.

With that being said, it will be a struggle to the finish line -- especially if Scherzer and Porcello don't get things figured out and Fister doesn't get healthy soon. There are enough gaping holes in their middle relief; SP was supposed to be a strength, with five guys around the 27-year-old prime age.
