Players don't want to get hurt, players don't want to get hit.

Maybe have just some activities or events but not an actual game...

The bigger question is how does this affect contracts?

Players get huge bonuses and incentives if they make the Pro Bowl.

NFL is going to have to offer a solution to the players.

Yeah, if the league is getting rid of the pro bowl they are going to have to come up with an alternative to pay for the bonus and incentive clauses in players' contracts.

Not going to be easy.

id much rather see the guys in the pro bowl doing some sort of athletic competition, like a penalty shootout, 3 point contest, fg contest, hell even an obstacle course, then get rid of it entirely the game is a disgrace to sports tho.

Agreed thetrinity, they used to do a QB Challenge and FG contest, maybe some other things too. Those were always just to watch. Pro Bowl is about as boring as it gets.

NFL needs skills competition like they do in NHL, NBA, and you can even say MLB with HR derby.

QB..who can throw the farthest, arcuracy
WR, trick catches
kickers, how far they can kick and maybe even accuracy as well

i mean so many different mini games u can do for the positions, you add that plus the game and u have great ratings
