Black Caviar going for record 20th win in a row....
Morphetville's a sellout to witness Black Caviar's record bid.

    Excerpt below from http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/su...-1226338289445

In the Group 1 Sportingbet Classic (1200m), Black Caviar will try to become the first horse to win 20 consecutive races - breaking the Australian record of Gloaming and that of US mare Zenyatta, who was only beaten in her 20th (and last) start. Trainer Peter Moody is glad the record-breaking attempt is happening on home soil.

"I think an Australian audience deserves it, no one else does, so let's hope it all goes to plan on Saturday," he said.

Black Caviar has set an unbelievable benchmark for performance so far in her career and while she might not get any better, Moody doesn't think she's on the decline.

"I don't think there is any sign of her coming down the mountain," he said. "Is she going to improve? I don't know. I think she is going every bit as good as she ever has.

Racing Around midnight on friday from my understanding

Been raining at morphetville on and off for 4 days and forecasted to continue into saturdays race. BC has never raced a wet track. Interesting...

Edit: I stand corrected. BC has raced and won in the wet...

That race was a walkover. This mare is unbelieveable. Shame we will never see her in the states...Royal Ascot will be as close as she gets.

What was she paying for the win today? I ended up forgetting about this race, despite it being on the news none stop for the last 3 days.

              $1.04 for the win.

Apparently bookies were allowed to give out special "one-off" commemorative betting slips at the track. Most punters on BC simply didn't cash their tickets, preferring instead to own a piece of history.

She will be racing at morphettville again apparently in coming weeks so will be interesting to see what happens b4 royal ascot beckons

Thanks for the info Cooch, I thought she might be a little better priced than that this time around, but nope! Not worth jumping on at all at those odds, might as well keep the bet slip!

Long ways off, but I doubt it.

That race was too easy for Black Caviar, while it is good to see her race around the country it's a pity the field was not better. Still a good win for her though.

Hope for a more competitive field in the Goodwood. While I want to see her keep on winning, I still want to see her have to work for it and show how good she is.

I saw her last year at Doomben in the BTC Cup, no real point backing her with the odds she gets. But worth it to see her in action and she had to at least face off against Hay List.
