If rangers move on the philly/rangers series would be very highly rated.
Most of the teams you mentioned are boring and offer nothing.
Philly/nyr and lak are huge markets.

LA is a huge market for hockey? Really? I had no clue. The teams that are "boring" offer ratings which is all the NHL cares about.

Deuce u win. Nhl ratings during the wings great era helped the league propel itself from a nothjing league to a nothing league.
Nhl means nothing in the states. Jeez man don't you know that by now?
Remember when that retard bettman played pitt/det b2b on the weekend for ratings? It cost det the cup.
Deuce you try to act like a know it all.

First off the NHL already got their money so it's more NBC that should be worried. And the ratings will be fine unless Phoenix Vs. Florida happens. I see a LA/Nashiville Vs. Philly finals so all should be good.

Big TV market regardless of sport. 10% of the people watching it there is better than 60% in some shit hole like Winnipeg.

Rangers/Philly will have huge ratings if it gets there. For the chance to go to the cup.
And then imagine NY/LA Stanley Cup Final, will break any NHL ratings record in the states.

US Markets that mean anything at all...
New York
Philly
Pitt
Detroit
Chicago
Boston
It's real simple. LA is not a hockey market. It never has been. Gretzky couldn't even propel the market in LA. When Winnipeg or any other Canadian team is in, the rest of Canada propels the ratings.

I think it's good for the league.
NHL ratings are going through the roof.
Philly/Pens series was most watched opening series in many years for the NHL.
Everybody knows the NHL playoffs are the best thing to watch out of the 4 major sports.
Only sport that is better that I can think of is the FIFA World Cup.
Having teams like FLA, Nashville, Wash, St. Louis adds interest to a growing market base.
I think it's good for the league.

Would be good for overall development, not ratings. But right now, Nashville, St. Lou, LA, Phoenix, Wash, Philly, imagine if Florida and Ottawa win. Debacle. Who knows.

LOL
LA is a winners market. If the Kings make the finals people will watch.
If it were a New York vs LA Kings final all US ratings records would be smashed.

Pretty silly statement, without Gretzky going to LA there would be no San Jose or Anaheim teams in the NHL.
