Lucky they have decent smaller cities in so it is not a complete wash

No
NY does not run MLB. Washed up whore shit players that have no heart and chase dollar signs. Rays Cinderella story is more intriguing to Americans than Steinbrenner and his check book.

who cares
And, you'd like to think that, being in the NY Area, but the only people that will miss those teams are the fans of those teams. The Cubs in the WS would top ANYTHING either NY team could ever bring

Still will hurt TV ratings, just simple numbers.

Landers,
Cubbies/ChiSox would be record ratings. Two teams from same city would be unreal.
I'd rather see Tampa/Cubs

I really dislike the Yankee's as a team, and for some reason Met's fans are just annoying. Hope you don't mind the generalizations but most people don't really give a **** about the NY teams, except for hating the yankees.
All this coming from an A's fan, when they made the playoffs in 06' THAT probably hurt the ratings

Boston, Philly, 2 teams from Chicago, and 2 teams from Los Angeles, ratings will definately not suffer. Red Sox Vs. Cubs World Series would go through the roof, plus there are other marquee matchups as well.

Coach, I didn't realize you feel sorry for the big networks. Poor babies.
Who gives a fvck if ratings are low?
Changes nothing for most of us.
As long as betting options are available NOTHING else matters.

I agree 100% If I weren't a White Sox fan I would be pulling hard for the Rays. I guess I will get behind the Brewers here in the first round.

It will definitely hurt ratings to some extent with the Yankees not being in the mix.
Definitely.

I think the sports writers are the only ones that care that there are no New York teams in the playoffs. Wasn't the Subway Series one of the worst rated World Series off all time?
