Running a sportsbetting club where you would charge a fee to members like $50 bucks a month and members would make a list of which side of a game they were on and you matched them with people on the other side they would bet each other at even money, no vig so your cut is only the fee whatever it would be and customers don't deal with juice so should fall under not being a "bookie" operation, I see poker games being run on craigslist and shit all the time where they provide house, food, beer, liquor, etc and they take no rake but you pay an entrance fee which is higher then the cost of what they provide yet they get away with it no problem

Pretty much like matchbook but you make no stake in the outcome, you don't take a portion of winners winnings just a flat fee

I'm sure it would be legal.

Would it work? I doubt it.

I'm thinking it may depend on what state your in as a big part of it but I was reading my states gambling statute and it seems they would not be able to charge you with any real crime

At worst seems maybe a class 3 misdemeanor, max fine 500 bucks in VA- Except as otherwise provided in this article, any person who illegally gambles or engages in interstate gambling as defined in §18.2-325 shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor. If an association or pool of persons illegally gamble, each person therein shall be guilty of illegal gambling.

Sounds like a fantasy league to me.

I'd be much more interested in a sports gambling circle jerk though.

First guy that busts a nut wins a prize!!!
