As a Cubs fan, I hope this happens.

Bryd has never been the same since getting hit in the face.

Byrd has been a solid bottom of the order hitter his whole career. .278 lifetime average. He got hit in the face with a pitch last season and that was the end of him. He's scared at the plate. He's so worried about the inside pitch you can ace him on the outside corner and he has no chance. Sad ending for him in Chicago, but maybe someone in Boston can get him over his fear. Not a bad move by Boston, IMO. Low risk, high reward.

New info just released has St. Louis offering a 6 pack of Budweiser and a pair of IWINYOURMONEY's old boxer shorts.

Outside shot is Seattle with a pair of 3 day old sockeye salmons and an old fisherman's net.

                      Roaddog is on the money

Why not take him on if they get him for a bag of balls? If he can overcome his issues then he's a solid extra bat.

Red Sox outfield is a graveyard at this point. Anything swinging a bat will be an upgrade.

he was an all star just 2 years ago and hit .400 vs. lefties maybe he can at least get back to hitting lefties and be a good platoon player

Change of scenery is doing well for Byrd.
