If you win at BoDog your limits are cut to nothing. Once again a guy like you can get bonuses anywhere. For a sharp like Skippy he needs low vig. Plus books confiscate bonuses if you are any good.

Always have to look at ROI here
Indeed the rollover requirement is important in calculating the value of any bonus.

Looks like it.
Oh, and by the way:
I play regularly at Bodog.
I get regular bonuses.
I've got a lifetime positive balance.
They have not cut my limits.
They have never confiscated any bonuses.

#44Originally posted by raiders72001I call bullshit. They are not going to give you a reup bonus if you make withdrawals. You only get the bonus if you lose all your money.
Anyway, a Bodog bonus would be no good for you, would it? You've proved how there's no value in taking it.

Oh and regarding the re-up bonus. Yes I'm in profit with them. I ask customer services when there's a bonus offer on and they always say that I'm eligible. #47BoDog says you are eligible for a bonus every time because you are a loser. Mathematically if you have a $5 limit how are you going to meet the rollover? No wonder why you lose, you can't understand these simple concepts.Comment -

#48taxo- I'll explain it so even you understand. You say you are a winner. You deposit $500 and get a 20% bonus of $100. Now say you break even and withdraw the $600. You call up the next day and deposit the $600 do you think they are going to give you 20%?
They only give you a bonus if you lose. You can't withdraw and then deposit the same money and get another 20%.Comment -

#61I was up at Bodog when I got my last bonus. I saw their terms but I asked them by email if I was eligible and they said yes. And I got a bonus. If you don't ask, you don't get.
The current Bodog offer is a 20% bonus with a 5x rollover.
Or you can try VIP which is a 20% bonus with a 4x rollover.
Take your pick.
Or, failing that, I could list a whole host of bonuses with even lower rollovers than that if you want.Originally posted by pags11SBR would never get rid of me...ever...Originally posted by BuddyBearI'd probably most likely chose Pags to jack off too.Originally posted by curioustaco is not a troll, he is a bubonic plague bacteria.Comment -

#62OK- Here's the math. BoDog's lines are vanilla for everyone except the losers because they deal vanilla lines. You can always find 1/2 point better in football if you use a couple of books that give no bonus.
Football games at BoDog will push 5% of the time. Because you can get an extra 1/2 point if you use books other than BoDog those pushes turn into wins.
BoDog with 100 plays
Win 47.5 %
Lose 47.5%
Push 5%
Bankroll of $1000 5x means risk $5000
Lose $5000 * .475 = -2375
Win $5000 * .475 * .9090 = 2159
1000 + 200 +2159 -2375 = $984
-----------------
No bonus using other books to get the extra 1/2 point.
Win 5000 * .525 * .952 = 2499
Lose 5000 * .475 = -2375
Profit =1000 + 2499 - 2375 = $1124
Summary- Getting 20% bonus at BoDog with a 5x rollover and bankroll of $1000 you will have $984 after rollover is met.
Use multiple books with no bonus to get extra 1/2 point after a 5x you will have $1124
If you want to win forget about the bonus and look for the best line.Comment -

#63I'd pat you on the back there, raiders72001 if it wasn't the fact that the value of the $1000 after the rollover changed from $886.25 in the first example to $1124 in the second.
But I agree with you, a 10% bonus with a 5x rollover is nowhere comparable to a book that lets you bet at +105 either side, gives you an extra 1/2 point and also gives you a free $100 everytime you cash out.
You stick to your way and I'll stick to mine. My way pays off handsomly. I hope yours does also.Originally posted by pags11SBR would never get rid of me...ever...Originally posted by BuddyBearI'd probably most likely chose Pags to jack off too.Originally posted by curioustaco is not a troll, he is a bubonic plague bacteria.Comment -

#64Taxoman- You will never win if you don't understand these concepts. BoDog is useless to me becasue I get the vanilla lines. I use multiple books and can ALWAYS get an extra 1/2 point. This is how you win. You use multiple books to get the extra 1/2 point and you can flip a coin and end up with a profit. It's much more valuable than taking the 20% with vanilla lines. You need to watch the live lines at SBR and play at books that have unique lines. I've just shown you the key to winning.Comment -

#67Not really sure what to say here....other than I do find some of the bonuses to be a hassle specifically if you have to roll them over 20x or more. But they are nice and are a good incentive to attract recreational bettors which I think they are there more for. I guess I really don't have much of an opinion on them.
I agree that bettors should look beyond bonuses especially if you are serious about this but should not ignore them altogether that is.
For me, the quality of the lines are much more important especially underdog lines.Comment -
