I really don't have to 'act' anything. Any standardized test tells me I'm somewhere between the top 3% most intelligent and the top 1% most intelligent. I can rely on tests which are designed to distinguish intelligence or your opinion. I can tell you this though... this board is basically my puppet outside of a few posters.

You're making dramatic assumptions. I'd say the majority of parents help their kids through undergrad. They didn't need to help me because I was paid in excess scholarships to stay in state. That being said, when they offer to pay for the portion of law school that I didn't get a scholarship from, I'm not going to say no and no one on this board would probably. Am I grateful for their help? Sure... but did I need it? No... the government is required to offer loans and I could have just as easily accepted those loans and been in debt. But who chooses debt?

My parents made excellent career choices and part of it is just the cycle of life and survival of the fittest. I hope/would like to be in the position of my parents one day and be able to have children and help them as much as I possibly can. It is a good cycle and there is nothing wrong with it. If I have money, why not help my kids? To suggest someone can't learn the value of money while being assisted is a silly statement IMO.

Depressed, upset with the course-load, looking for an outlet to escape. Some choose drugs, some choose gambling. Take it from someone who went through all that and came out ahead, give up the gambling until you find a real job.
