can easily see a 4-2 game like yesterday which is still good pitching by both sides

these 5 1/2 totals are always fun

but there's almost always a late-game situation with a couple guys on base that determines it

i like to play the over because you're always live, and from my limited experience on them i have been successful

I'd rather play Russian roulette than bet under 5.5. I don't care who's pitching. Good way to induce nerve damage.

On the over, but won't lose my shirt if it goes under.

Used to see lines like this a lot when Randy Johnson was pitching. Games went under all the time.

what was the most recent 5.5 total? I think a LAD-NYY game had a 5.5 total with Kershaw pitching a couple years back.

Always take over as in these type of situations because it's profitable long-term

no - the over in these situations is not profitable.

                                  It is the opposite actually.

Well the game in question above ended 1-0 in 11. The 2 pitchers though aren't in the best of form, gotta be better bets on the board.
