Now it's Cadbury chocolates, with the same sh1t melanine lacing it.

This Cadbury isn't sold in the US, so says Hershey. Yeah, right. There's really no way of knowing. Chinese industry is apparently dominted by a kind of Chinese Mafia. Maybe the old "tongs."

I remember seeing in a major chain supermarket a weird looking wrapped in plastic piece of salmon. WILD-CAUGHT, it announced on the label. Looking closer, I saw that it was from China.

I don't take Vitamin C - not even in a multi-vit. It all (98%)comes from filthy plants in the PRC. Just eat an orange every other day, or tomatoes, etc, you'll get enough Vit C.

Read labels. By law they have to list country of origin, Tho world capitalism would like to change that, to make us all blinded and obedient consumers.

And yes, for the sex-minded posters here, I would advise also not eating pus-y, if you meet a girl from China.

She may be emitting melanine down there.

The US should do what CR has done.

But, won't. Because much of the US debt is owned by China.

Just as US agribusienss won't let us know if a product is irradiated or genetically-modified, it's only a matter of time before the Globals that own Congress change laws to bar specifying country of origin on labels.

The US is the last major redoubt of the Robber Barons.

"Separately, Kraft Foods, the maker of Oreo cookies, and Mars, the maker of M&Ms and Snickers candy, said they believe Indonesian authorities were mistaken when they announced they had found melamine in samples of their products made in China."

Does this mean Snickers, Oreos, and M&M's aren't safe? I just bought a bag of M&M's the other day but haven't had it yet.

If she was "Made in USA" go for it.

If imported, stay clear. Or wear one of those "tongue rubbers" that became popular at the height of the AIDS scare

This is what happens when you outsource jobs..... goes to countries with zero regulation enforcement.

But neo-cons keep favoring it because they are told it's good for them. Just like the morons that believe banning offshore gambling is good for our national security.

No one in th govt is able to protect the population.

China is like the US and Brittain in the very early days of capitalism. Wild west sh1t, anything goes.

But the only "protection" we have are the lawyers, tough as it is to accept that fact. Lawsuits from damaged US consumers is the only thing keeping them in line, even a little.

Yeah, but you don't have US toys being recalled everyday for high levels of lead.... or pet foods tainted with poison that kills thousands of pets.... like you do with Chinese made junk.
