Why Does Pinnacle Block IP's When You Reload Lines A Lot??

Whats the difference between the sites?

If you refresh other guys can't get their bets in, espn cbs are not gambling sites they like refreshes for ad money

also helps thwart DOS attacks, if software kept sending a million software refresh requests to their server a second, their server's could be overloaded resulting no service for anyone else.

If you grab their XML feed they simply request you not grab it more than once per minute.

Sometime around 2006, there were so many DDOS attacks on books from hackers demanding the books pay them to stop the attacks that there were times when major books were down the entire day. I remember one NFL sunday having perhaps 30 funded books and 3 of them were down the better part of the day due to the DDOS attacks.

They run a program called "Robot assassin". If you are scraping their site more than about once every five minutes, you will be blocked. The assassin sometimes blocks people that are refreshing very frequently -- e.g., when you are waiting for a second half line to come out, and not using dynamic lines.

If you contact their CS, they usually reinstate it.

5 min only one refresh?? just before game or at lines coming out, it changes like once per 10 seconds

I get an unformatted screen and it takes 3+ minutes to load for every refresh
