colin cowherd: "big 12 is better than the sec.."
    "..and it's not even close".

thank you, colin, because i too have been saying this since before the season began

give me oklahoma, texas, missouri, kansas, texas tech, and oklahoma state, and we'll win more games against any other conference, including the sec, on a neutral field

college football goes in cycles, traditionally the sec is the best conference, but not THIS season

alabama, florida, georgia, all 3 very good

lsu and auburn in for major drops as the yr progresses

just keep watching, and you'll see the 2 tigers, lsu and auburn,
    fall to earth big time

Is this the same Mizzou team that struggled against Buffalo?

All SEC losses come within their own division.

That should tell you something champ.

Look at the SEC bowl records in January and then let me kno if they the best conference. Also look at there bowl record compared to other conferences and let me know? Just because Cowherd said the BIG 12 is the best don't mean there the best.

              LOL @ Texas tech.

I think they played East Alaska State last week.

              They won 68-3

like when tennessee lost 4 wks ago to a horrible UCLA team?

or when tennessee lost last yr at a Cal team that finished the reg season 6-6?

like when arkansas, who was making bowl gms under houston nutt, got their asses handed to them 2 straight yrs by SC?

or when auburn, who has made bowl games under tuberville, lost twice to SC in their home and home?

                    you are delusional at best

The Big 12 has the obvious qb advantage on almost every team, right now the qb play in the SEC is pretty poor as a whole. I think that brings them back to the pack somewhat, but still on top just by a smaller margin.

It's funny you mention that because I went to a Alcorn State game this Saturday. They played against my College Southern University.

Penn st. has a great team this year. I think they could honestly run with some of the SEC teams. With that said...They have a pretty tough schedule ahead playing wisky, michigan and if they are still undefeated by that point and beat Ohio st., I dont see a reason why they couldnt be playing for the national title.

Why is it when LSU loses to unranked 5-loss Arkansas, it's because SEC is tough. Or when Georgia loses to 6-loss South Carolina, it's because SEC is tough.

Yet, when USC loses in-conference, they suck.

Since 2003, USC's 5 regular season loses have come against other PAC-10 teams. They are undefeated against non-conference foes. Could it be possible PAC-10 isn't as bad as SEC homers make it out to be? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.........

Arkansas had McFadden & Felix when they lost 70-17 to USC. Also when they lost 50-14 the very next season. McFadden & Felix combined for 90 yards rushing in the latter.

Pete Carroll is 4-0 vs. SEC.... winning by a combined score of 167-48. Supposedly the toughest conference from top to bottom in the nation. How do you explain that?

                                                  WAC >>>>>>>>>> PAC-10 >>>>>>>>>> SEC

                                                  How about that?

USC lost to Oregon St because they didn't focus and overlooked them. Not because their talent levels are anywhere near each other. USC has just as much talent as anyone in the country, and would do just fine in the SEC.

Florida lost to a 2-2 Mississippi team at home, Mississippi St put up 24 against LSU when Miss St had scored 9 pts in the previous two games. Alabama can run the ball, but we shall see what happens when someone takes it away. And we all saw Georgia fall apart at home. In reality there is nothing to suggest that USC couldn't be the best team in that conference.

My point is USC is no different from the rest of the teams in the country. But when it come to bowl season THE SEC always is at the top! USC is overrated they are no different from LSU and Florida

                                                          Good question. Alabama -3 maybe???

I would lean towards USC because they are a much more balanced team offensively.
