Good stuff. This craziness both inside the U.S. (Religious Right) and around the world is out of control.

I'm a conservative and I think for myself which is different than being a Republican. Supporting Bush/McCain is not congruent with the ideals of limited government.
When did the total support of Religious fanaticism become part of the Republican party platform? I understand that Reagan brought the Religious Right into power during the 1980s, but it's gone to far now. Yes, I consider evangelicals who want to cause World War III in hopes of making God come to earth to save only them to be Religious Fanatics.

Agreed, but I also don't see what faith has to do with Bush's fukk ups.

If you need to believe in fictional characters thats fine. But you should not be commended for it, or be considered pious because of it. How American presidents get away with this crap is indicative of the backwardness of American culture.

If there was a Republican presidential candidate who actually supported the ideals of limited government, I would vote for him/her in a hearbeat.
But what I learned during these past 8 years is that the Republican party only fights for limited government when it is NOT in power. Put them in power and they forget their principles. They spend money and expand the government more than the Democrats. To top it off, they start making unnecessary wars.
Therefore, we're better off with the Republicans on the outside looking in. Then, they might actually stay true to their ideals.
(by the way, I imagine that McCain would raise taxes. Remember Papa Bush's pledge, "No new taxes?" He raised them pretty fast when the country plunged into a recession)
Faith and Bush mistakes become intertwined every time that Bush claims he talks to God which he has done on numerous occasions. And when he says stupid things like in the clip for this movie. He said that God wants everybody to be free and therefore that is his foreign policy. So he bases his foreign policy on his convesations with God.
Remember when Bush remarked that we were Crusaders going into Iraq? And recently, Sarah Palin said Americans in Iraq are on a mission from God.
Nobody is against faith until it begins to cause the death and misery of millions of innocent people.

Agree 100%. Having faith is one thing, basing your values with others lives is not right.

By the way, I believe that Bush was tricked into the Iraq war by his trusted advisers, mainly Dick Cheney, Wolfowitz and their posse. I don't think Bush is evil.
The problem is that he was maninpulated by them because he's not much more intelligent and educated than Sarah Palin, for example. He's a "C" student who was passed through the University only because his father was well-connected. He was always wealthy and yet never had any curiosity to visit a foreign country until he became Presdient. I doubt he ever read any books. Then he tries to make decisioins by lookng in Putin's eyes or trying to talk to God.

The continuous pattern of war and aggression is certainly nothing this administration invented. Although the audacity and blatant disregard of international law has reached new hight, so it seems.

WTF,
The clip didn't seem to focus on christians. I thought it was negative towards religious fanatics of all faiths. It doesn't matter if a religious fanatic straps a bomb to himself or carries out his religious wishes inside a fighter jet, it's the same idea: causing death and destruction in the name of God and without any strategic purpose or need for self-defense is unacceptable
