these guys are professional athletes...u can't pretend they do not care....detroit was hyped up by the usual "expert" guys in the media...its not to knock guys like kurkjian and gammons because they have knowledge, but games are not won looking at stats and names on a screen or on paper....i mean detroit traded ivan rodriguez and has guys like matthew joyce and former braves great mike hessman playing third base!!...still to say they are packing it up when they can play the role of spoiler will motivate them...that is unless they are content with having chicago host minnesota for a tie breaker....the white sox are heavy money line favorites and that is purely because of the situation they are in..gavin floyd has established himself as a top of the rotation guy so theres a good reason guillen can have some confidence to have a solid performance from him....still this is a quality team that has been together for a few seasons now and its hard to trust freddy garcia whos never been the pitcher he was with seattle or after he hurt himself shagging fly balls with the phillies....plus if detroit has a lead leyland has no choice but to go to fernando rodney the flame thrower who makes it interesting and usually gives it up since being tossed into the role of closer....its a lot of chalk but the white sox will live to see another day and host the twins and there just seems something right about that if it happens because these are the two best teams in that division....best of luck

At around +200 price, Tigers is a decent bet IMO. White Sox might win in a blowout, but all the pressure is on them, and Detroit might be able to make this a game if they give it some effort. Floyd has given up quite a bit of hits past few outings and Garcia isn't bad at all. Of course he came off the disabled list just recently, but should be able to throw some 5-6 innings. He is also warming up for winter league in Venezuela so this is a good warm-up for him.Comment -

Let me just add, TB is the WORST road team is BASEBALL!! so before you decide on going big with detroit, you must know that even seattle could have and probably would have beat TB if it were in seattle.
