It is raw emotion. I agreed. I feel better losing my money by the book. Rather than with some hamburger at my table, hitting his 17's.

You only need to see one stupid move to know who you DON'T want sitting at the same table. I don't care how I'm doing, one stupid person at the table and I'll get up and leave.

Same here golfer. That's why I like playing at the higher limit tables. A lot less rookies at those tables.

Yes, Blackjack is easy to master but only to a point

Any moron can learn basic strategy in an hour. That's not the issue. The major part that many people can't seem to grasp is an effective money management and betting strategy. THAT'S why people lose. If you combine that with the fact that many people don't commit to a basic strategy or they alter their strategy and play the money and not the cards is why they lose. At least 10 out of 20 people I see at a Blackjack table are playing the game incorrectly. So that's why the casinos generally aren't worried about the few winners that consistently walk away.

Sorry pal, but that is all superstitious; nothing more. The way they play their cards has nothing to do with the outcome of your hand. It will even out in the long run. I do know how you feel. It's hard to not get caught up with an idiot at the table. But the bottom line, is that it is their money. I think people that think this way, give the casinos WAY too much credit for their influence.

                Agreed on completely.

4,5, and 6 are weak cards for the dealer; split them and get more money out there. I know the 'never split anything that starts with 'F' BS and that's all it is. I also love the term 'BUST' card. I got news for some novice Blackjack players, there is no such thing as a 'BUST' card. There is such a thing as a dealer WEAK card but not a BUST card. More than 50% of the time the dealer WILL make a hand so how anyone considers that to be a BUST card is a joke. I've sat there and watched people doubling down on hard 5's and hard 12's. It shows real stupidity. You're DOUBLING your wager on a BAD bet. I often wonder how people can be so stupid.

Pretty funny that the author is writing about math and good strategy and gives the example of how you shouldnt hit 13 vs 2
