rooting for sharks. foolishly made futures bet onthem to win cup before season started. Their Penalty Kill is a gigantic concern though. 2nd to worst in the leage during regular season at 76.9%. only behind Columbus' 76.9% (just shoot me).

you really can't get through the entire playoffs with a terrible penalty kill. you just can't. you can get away with a bad powerplay if your pk is that good. but you just can't get through entire playoffs without penalty kill catching up to you.

perhaps. But my point was that I think having a terrible PK is much worse than having a bad powerplay. If you have significant advantage 5-on-5, you don't really need that many powerplay goals as long as you aren't allowing your opponent to get PP goals by having a strong PK. Look at bruins last year. They were the best team 5-on-5 throughout the playoffs. their powerplay was pathetic, but it never caught up to them because their PK was strong, and they were good 5-on-5.

If your PK is giving up goals every game though, you are TOAST.
