Yeah, no shocker. 'Bazz was bound to UCLA, the second he started accepting the money from Adidas that funneled in through his sisters pro tennis shoe contract.
Noel is an idiot, but good for him.
Shabazz will be really good, but he is basically a 2012 version of OJ Mayo.
Arizona and UCLA will be the teams to beat out west.
UCLA is most likely going to add Tony Parker too, BTW. Arizona might add a PG grad transfer, but who knows.
As far as 'Bazz being a one and done: he would have been a straight to the NBA kid, if not for the NBA rule. He has no intention of even attending classes past January of next year. Kid's league bound, Kyle might be right behind him.

Agreed. Arizona, with its class, is setup for a fantastic run in 2012-13. Bigs rarely develop into phenom freshman, especially 3 of them. We will be good this year, hard to beat for sure - but this class is setup to be dominant a year or so down the line, which is fantastic.
Hey man, I didn't realize Angel Nunez went to UL. Arizona was one time hoping to land the kid, before Sean Miller showed up - was wondering what ever happened to him, and if he is showing any promise?

Duke's lack of recruits this year is shocking.
Hopefully, Tony Parker and Amile Jefferson will sign for K.

noel actually had providence on his last 7 or so.....i knew it was a pipe dream for me(although i had hoped we could have landed drummond since he and kris dunn are good friends)....there was no way providence was a serious threat to land noel....but the fact that he even considered them speaks volumes about ed cooleys ability to relate to some of these young, african american, kids

Yeah kid can't shoot the lights out, but struggled to get minutes for defensive reasons and he needs to put on some muscle... Expecting small contributions this coming year and solid contributions his jr n sr year...
Gl to ur wildcats, not the same when they are down...

While it would have been nice to see Noel go to 'Cuse, I can't say I'm disapointed that he chose Kentucky. I know that one and done's are part of the college game, Carmelo won Cuse their only championship, but as a fan I would rather get mid-range top 100 recruits that will be around till their junior year. Every year Kentucky changes drastically, its tough as a fan to continually deal with players leaving early. Kentucky can have them, wish the NBA would change that rule.

Kentucky proved you can win a title with a freshman if he is the number 1 draft pick in the nba

Yeah, I said that you can, I also said Carmelo did it for Cuse, I just am not that excited about getting players that are sure fire one and done on my team. I think the NBA rule should be changed, but it won't be.
My only point is that college bball, as a fan, is better when you have players for 2 to 4 years that you get to know, I would rather not have my team get any surefire one and done kids. Let Kentucky have them.

Noel is no Anthony Davis and when they don't win a title and he goes to the NBA, his one year will just be seen as a failure to UK fans. He seems like a nice kid, but he let his handlers make his decision for him.
