Daniel Bard is nice. Don't know how he would stretch out after 5 innings but he is a live arm with an very low career WHIP @1.06. Bard has made the Jays miss a lot in a small sample size with 15 k's in 41 AB. No current Jay has had any luck at all against Bard. Joey Bats and Adam Lind have not gotten a sniff off Bard and struck out more than half the time.

Kyle Drabek for the Jays is the exact opposite. No command and a career WHIP of 1.72. He showed no command last year and none at all during spring training. God awful splits against the Sox. Papi and Adrian Gonzales have nutted this kid already.

Bought the half for plus money.

the one thing you have to remember about bard is this

the reason hes able to make bats miss is that hes been able to hit 98 effortlessly in relief.....sometimes it doesnt even look like hes trying to throw hard....and he hits it high on the gun

but it an effort to convert to a starter....hes toned it down....to last longer....hell be in the 93-94 range....still fast....but hes not out there trying to hit 99

Boys I never would have guessed that Drabek could make the Sox look bad. Leloo made a good point about Farrell being Bard's pitching coach. Perhaps a better game plan and the point was made that Bard might not air it out. Had a work emergency so I missed the game.

Anyhow back to the drawing board. I was due for a loss just a little shocked it came here.
