            This prolly helped him, a true test for every pitcher is recovering after such an inning. And he did.

                He will likely never live up to that huge price tag, even if he does very well the 1st year he will still carry the burden the next 5. Reading some post game articles it seems like he was really surprised the fans were cheering him after the 1st, it may help ease some of the pressure.
