I lost 17 big bets in a row.....

Actually, 0-17-1. I pushed a NCAA halftime bet. Count em, 17! Ranging from $500- $2000. Lost about $15,500. That's right! Not making it up. Lost 10 NCAA March Madness games in a row. Stopped for a while and then lost 7 baseball games. All 3 Yankees games, 2 Red Sox games, a Braves Game, and opening White Sox game. I know that I could lose 17 more in a row and that the games I lost have no bearing on my next games. So, I'm chilling out, not to mention I'm draining my savings account. Went from the hottest streak of my life to this. But 17! Seven (f\*\*\*ing) teen. That's amazing. Could you guys believe that s*it? What are the odds? I really can't beleive it.

That is true. I have unbelieveable streaks, this one hurts though. The amount of $$$ is bothering more than the losing streak. Wish I could bet $100 a game and feel satisfied. I have to lower my bets and stop chasing. I have a normal job, I shouldn't be routinely making $1000 bets. It's ridiculous and losing streaks are inevitable

Took Friday and Saturday off and went 8-2 yesterday.

It could be worse....Last year I lost around 17 bets in a row....I was betting draws in soccer...The only difference though was I was chase betting....I ended up losing like three chases in a row and a boatload of units.....

right on. chasing is the worst thing you can do as a gambler. ive done it plenty of times and it rarely works out well.

While there are 'streaks'; and I have argued this with guys forever, if your Opinion is really good you shouldnt be losing more than 7 or 8 in a row too often, doubling that and there is an issue somewhere.

Even if youre betting double digits games a day you shouldnt have that type of streak to the bad. if youre playing games less than that that means youre actually picking and choosing and being more picky about your plays so going on a streak like that is even worse.

I am sure the probability guys will come in with the typical mumbo jumbo that doesnt mean shit. But if youre actually using some 'intelligence' with these plays and going on a bad run like that you have to either re-evaluate your approach or just stop gambling.

What makes it worse are the last 7 which were baseball games with pretty steep MLs attached to them. So that turns the 17 in a row into nearly 20 when you factor that in.

I honestly know nothing about NCAA, so that was pure stupidity. I do know a lot about MLB. I was convinced the Yanks would get off to a hot start and the Mets would be disgraceful. I was wrong. Laying low for a week. Didn't gamble today. When I come back, I'm going to do my best to practice propper money management. I feel horrible. I can win and walk away, but when I lose I get fuking pissed and try to get my $$$ back. Like most of us.... Anybody have tips on propper money management? I'm not a newbie, so no obvious stuff.
