when I was in senior league (13-15) I got 10 bucks to line the fields and 15 either umpire the game or work the press box of the LL (9-12) year old games

Little League and girls softball. Couldn't of been more than $12 a game or so.

I think this may depend on the town. I used to make $20 doing pee wee's and midgets (behind pitcher) and i think it was 35 or 40 for Majors (10-12 + 13-15). I did that once and i didn't like it. I'm sure had I done it a few more times i would have felt more comfortable.

I umpire a lot mens softball 22 a game cash fro tournys weekends I can get 6 games a day
I umpire HS boys your gonna make 76 +
Girls softball 30+ girls tourny softball fast pitch is great 3 umps you get 30 a game
Its great extra money but basically I love doing it I have a good rep

ASA softball is the easy way to break in go to a few clinics they will use you get your feet wet
you make 15 to start after 20 games 17 then get use to it move on to ISA and tournys

The Mens softball games are 1 hour you do 3 or 4 in a row at night

I umpired the Dungeon fight last night at the Power Exchange... I slipped and twisted my ankle during the match..I slipped right on a spot of release..

You have to put some time in to learn the rules and go to a few clinics
then hope you dont vapor lock when you ump ....seen a bunch of guys that
are bad

Fans are bad as are players

If your not afraid to slug people then ok if not too much abuse for low pay

Never umpired but announced and also was an official scorekeeper for a few Little League Games several years back. It was fun, but they were kinda assess about how you could announce a game.
