What was always amusing about Root is that he must have read somewhere that you'll get results if you fix your target with an "hynoptic stare."
On th old Feist show he used to put this weird look on his mug ("the stare") and then delivered his pitch.
Guy's a freak.
When one of the hosts of the Stardust show asked him why he didn't bet he said he lived in the LA area, where gambling was illegal.
This was before the heavy advent of offshore. But, he could have flown into Vegas to bet every weekend. But most touts don't bet.
Phil Steele was on the show once (got knocked out early, tho he does of course know college foots). Steele also admitted that he never wagered.Comment -
