loved Pantera as well, a buddy of mine says vulger display of power is up there with Appetite for Destruction in hard rock/metal albums of all time.

Dave Grohll was the real star in Nirvana and is still alive, kick'in ass and making great music! And like he sings so true in the Foo Fighters song "Learn to Fly",

He's speaking directly to that waste of life Kurt Cobain, yes Nirvana could have been one of the great alternative bands of generation X, instead they're just an afterthought and remembered for a selfless, arrogant junkie singer who killed himself.

Vh1 had a special on a while ago with Butch (forget his last name but he produced their albums) he went back into the studio and basically just showed the cameras what they did in the studio, how they came up with the music, used the sound board and effects to show how everything was put together, it was intense. wish I could get that on DVD.

Since I have been listening to music Nirvana was, imo, the biggest influence and the biggest reason so many bands became who they were. Kurt Cobain changed music, made it better. He had major depression and he has a drug addiction. Yes he is fuked up for doing that to his daughter. Some people can't handle fame, depression, and drugs. He had major issues but he was so talented and Nirvana will be one of my all time favorite bands of all time. Every one of their albums were fukin bad ass. Tool, Korn, and Nirvana my 3 all time favorites.
