If the Cubs can pitch well, no reason they can't win a lot of these low scoring games. If the Dempster from 2008 shows up and Maholm pitches well, they've got a pretty good rotation even though they lack a true ace. Might just say Dempster and Garza are very solid 2's.

Samardzija could be the surprise of the league. Nobody knows how good he could be, including himself. He'll have some bad days, but he'll dominate a lot of games as well IMO.

wow, Wood strikes out Lacrotch and LeWorthless and the umpire misses them both.

What a rooster sucking pile of dog shit.

and it ends up being 3 walks and a wild pitch for wood in 1/3rd of an inning when it should've been no damage

Marmol is such trash. I'm tired of his act. Guy should be traded this year for as much as the Cubs can get for him. Brain-less wonder. He should have been packaged with Zambrano... 2 dumb but talented hispanics for the price of one.

How the fukk is Jeff Baker in the majors? Dumb German piece of shit should honestly just kill himself... he is the worst major league baseball player in the history of the game.

I'm not even sure why I look forward to baseball anymore. Umpire walks a run in for the Nationals on a pitch that pitch tracker has in the strike zone and then rings the Cubs up to end the game on a pitch 4 inches outside of the zone on the pitch tracker.

God damn games are pretty much entirely controlled on whatever is up the home umpire's vagina that day.

considering that MLB umpires have their vids reviewed by the league every game, I highly doubt they're playing favorites. furthermore, the pitch tracker isn't 100% so using it as a guide is silly

I saw the error with my own eyes. Pitch tracker just confirmed.

unders dominated today, no huge surprised there. nats won, because the cubs are the cubs. kerry wood is over the hill, and marmol is a mental case now, no where near where he was 5 years ago. just proves not everyone can be a closer and take that stress on their back.

looking forward to friday, brewers v cards. people getting up at miller-park at 8am to tailgate

pitch tracker is not perfect, and doesn't account to how the catcher frames it and catches it. also umps are not perfect, wood was all over the zone, you are not going to get borderline pitcher.
also, he was like that all game. he was calling every border-line pitch a ball. all umps have different strike zones, the hitters and pitchers have to adjust for it. its not like its some mystery factor.
