Put enough on Kansas to make your average $ amount be the same when you factor in the 75% chance of Kentucky winning the game.

It would be dumb not to hedge in this situation being that kansas is +250...

I mean 400 on kansas get's you a a dime, and if they lose you still get almost 2500

Put $1425 on Kansas +6... if Kentucky wins and Kansas covers the spread you win twice... basically you either win $1425 or win $4275

Initial investment shouldn't matter when deciding to hedge or not......I mean it's your call to make with how confident you are

Personally, I'd throw 400 on Kansas ML and another 400 on Kansas +6.5

Kentucky Wins/Covers.....+ ~2000
Kansas Wins......+1400
Kentucky Wins/Kansas Covers....+2850

yeah i get how it works but there seems to be an abundance of people this year here and other forums all raking in thousands of dollars with kentucky. i think a lot of people adding on some zero's and i think a lot of the bracket pools good chance of split pots as well. just like super bowl time everyone here won $50K on the giants.

This is the last year the guy who runs it will have it "winner takes all." because it's grown pretty big. Was only 28 people 3 years ago.

Thinking that my scenario is made up is funny. Some people do know more than 10 folks.

There's a tie breaker (total points) but it won't come into play this year. Myself and another guy are tied with 190pts, and it just so happens I have Kentucky and he had Kansas.

I agree it is funny that people dont believe you. I am in a few pools with 100 people in them. Unfortunately i am not in the running.

And you also very rarely ever split a pot in these things, so many points along the way it would be tough for two people to land with the same winning total.
