    regular blackjack vs exposure blackjack
i was playing at a for free casino online and i noticed "exposure blackjack" this is where you can view both of the dealers cards. it still pays even money and blackjack pays 3/2 like regular blackjack, my question is, whats the point of playing regular blackjack online when you can play exposure blackjack. i go to the real casino about once a week and seeing both the dealer whole cards i think gives you about a 60% chance edge. Obviously online blackjack is rigged but i can imagine playing at a real life casino and seeing both the dealers whole cards.

Odds are worse with exposure...3/2 to even...Wouldn't offer the game if they were going to lose money...Online casinos are a disaster.

its a for fun site so it probably just offers 3/2 because its for fun? i looked on Wikipedia with the rules, dosent look as good as it seems, but yea a few years ago i learned not to play at a online casino, in any legitimate casino the dealer will bust on a 6 58% of the time, in a online casino about 24% of the time Ive done a couple of test runs in there software betting 1 dollar hands.

Not a great game, seein the dealer with 20 and knowing you are fuked when you've got a 20 yourself sucks, normally you'd have 20 and see dealer 10 and hope he's got a 9 under there or something and if he has 20 you get a push so disappointing but at least you didnt lose anything

the difference is that ties loose as Bettilimbroke says, which costs you about 10% if I remember correctly. However, with good rules such as tied bj wins its close to regular 21 in payback. This assumes you play perfect basic strategy which of course is very different.

            on a side note.

occasionally, casinos offer face up as a promotion (after some one gets a certain BJ or whatever) with the rules being the same as regular BJ. In this case its a huge play.---so keep that in mind

Ties lose and BJs pay even money.

                  Basic strategy is here:

Double Exposure is a blackjack variant in which the dealer exposes both cards, and over here you can read all the rules and check the suggested strategies.

Even playing basic strategy, you are probably at lower odds than you would be playing regular blackjack at basic strategy.

                    this is not true.

all things considered I'd say its a fun game with relatively small house hold.(unless you refuse to adopt a proper strategy).

                      where are you getting this?

dealer will not bust more than 50% on any card if I remember correctly,
he will bust more than 50% on any hard stiff 12-16.
