The only possible incentive to gamble if you had Michael Jordan's huge cache of money would be a death wish to become broke.Risk and reward factor, upside potential of gambling none, downside potential huuuuumongous!!!!!!!!!!!Only poor people trying to feverishly find a quick way out of poverty should have incentive to max out cardz to go for broke with someone elses money.Seeing Michael Jordan flinging around blue chips at high roller tables should make even the most reckless gamblers cringe.

It's too bad we live in such a warped society where idiots like that still get all the product endorsements they want.If I were Fruit of the loom I would look for someone who isn't as dumb as that.

Another case scenario.Jordan is put on a few company board of directors. As a shareholder and company,do you want to be associated with someone who makes bad decisions when they are a billionare.Nice having a board member that is reckless with money.

He's just looking for that rush man. For someone like him with almost unlimited resources it must be hard to get stimulated. He's seen and done it all.

Yea why bitch about him gambling?..better off trying to learn some golf and catch him on a golf course and take him for 20 grand...at least he's out there putting that money back in play instead of it rotting in his bank acct..maybe he will lose to someone and they will lose to someone else and so on until a piece trickles down to you!

The biggest gamblers in the world are all super wealthy. Majority of them own or run huge corporations. Many of them publicly traded companies. Why should Jordan have to hide his earned wealth? If the guy likes to drink, smoke and gamble, let him. It's his money. The guy is a dick in person and a horrible blackjack player.

Jordan is great publicity for the casinos when he is in Vegas. All of the high rolling Asians charter in to play in salons with him as well as the wealthy whites from the states.

Op sounds like someone who asked for an autograph and got shut down.

As long as he is only burning his earned income which must be massive then who cares? There is no doubt he still pulls down endorsement cash plus even if he only had 100million invested he's pulling 5 mill a year.

he gambles to feed his overcompetitive edge. there are stories of him betting on stupid shit like who would get there bags first off team flights, who would get the hotel room with the highest number, and how long flights would last. part of the reason he has all of his money is because of that competitive desire none of us could even remotely match.

His passive income is probably over $3 million a month and could be double that. Gamble away, makes no difference to him.

I heard he charges local businessman in Charlotte appearance fees just to go out and promote his crap hole franchise. Sounds like a recipe for disaster in the end.

Unfortunately, those shitty shoes he puts out could forever support him and all his kids and their kids forever.

Bill Gates gets a private table and plays $5 a hand because he simply likes blackjack, others wager enough to feel the sting or elation and when they are worth more, can't achieve that without risking more.

a guy on sbr makes a $100 and it is probably 10% of his net worth.

Michael Jordan is a great gambler.

Here are just a couple of examples of his great gambles:

                                                  Kwame Brown and Adam Morrison.

He's just looking for that rush man. For someone like him with almost unlimited resources it must be hard to get stimulated. He's seen and done it all.
I hear ya man !! you must inevitably become numb ....

Who cares what he does? It means nothing to me what he does or anyone else for that matter. As long as he is not committing crimes, selling drugs to children let him do what he wants.

Isn't it the other way around? He's got so much dough that unless he's completely unhinged, losses will have no real effect on his life. Granted, winning doesn't either, but if gambling is what entertains him, then by all means, he's earned that entertainment.
