Bump for tonight's debacle. And I agree with the Rick Barnes name drop from earlier -- arguably and pound for pound the two worst coaches in America.

I watched tonight's Washington/USC game out of sheer boredom. Either the Huskies were on the take late or they're just as stupid as their coach.

The last minute of the game looked like Point Shaving 101. Romar called a timeout at one point late and the announcers were talking about the "strategy" and the plays he was "drawing up," while the camera panned to him looking like a doofus, scratching his head and saying hardly anything to his players with a confused look on his face as everyone ignored him. It was priceless.

Yep he's an awful coach, I've been saying it for years, even when he would take his team to the Sweet 16. He's easily one of the worst X's and O's coaches in America. His only strong suit is recruiting, but lately he hasn't made a big splash in recruiting. He gets a lot of big name guys by default, because the Seattle area is producing so many good high-school players (Spencer Hawes, Tony Wroten, Jon Brockman, etc). They go to Washington, regardless of the coach.

He's had some ridiculously talented teams, give it to any average coach and they probably go to the final four if not further. The worst part is, he probably isn't going anywhere. I want to say he signed some huge 10 year contract just a couple years ago.

This year's team is pretty sub-par talent wise by his standards. You combine that with horrific coaching, and it's a recipe for disaster -- just like Barnes.
