i could have swore i clicked the link before and it said purchase $200 plus, now i click on it and it says i must make purchase of $2750. This really stinks! i thought I'd be able to make a $200 purchase like any other option.

      Hi Hank,

The higher amount reflects the cost of the program. If you're buying a TV anyway, you get to become Pro at the same time. Other options have $200 requirements like you touched on, you may find those are better choices if you weren't planning a high-ticket item thru Amazon.

You're not seein' things bud. The amount indeed was raised, as stated in the application form.

          See my post above.

It debuted at $200 for less than 48hrs, it was actually a mistake. A $200 sale wouldn't even pay for a week of your extra log-in pts.

That wouldn't work. It needs to be in one shot and through the required sponsor link.

The complaints on using Amazon is downright wacky. No one is making you buy stuff on Amazon. When you do, you trade money for goods, meaning you actually don't lose a dime and while youre doing it, you get to be an SBR PRO for clicking through SBR's Amazon store.

Amazon pays pennies on the dollar for each purchase. It's more like a CC cashback program that we can pass on to the posters who are in the market for something bigger like a TV or multiple items. It only works for that one purchase...whereas a Will Hill might pay X dollars up front for referring a customer.

Making you a PRO for $200 Amazon purchase is like SBR writing you a $400 check because you bought groceries.

Have you visited the SBR Pro application? That's where the Pro methods available in your area are listed.

I agree 100% and I think spending 2750 on goods and getting a pro membership is a win/win. The only disappointing thing is when you don't have 2750 to spend and knowing it debuted for $200 and I'm sure a several people lucked out and you essentially gave them a SBR pro membership for free.

You guys obviously don't understand how Amazon works. They get such a tiny portion of the money spent on their website that of course the amount is larger.

Instead of buy something you don't need from Amazon, spend $200 via charity donation and become pro that way. You'll make the $200 back eventually and the money is for a good cause.

Yes, nothing shows up under available options except a check/completed symbol, I assume since I am already pro, and you can only view them on that page if you are not?

agreed consider 365 days a year X 6 pts extra = 2k pts.. which is not even 100$ in amazon cards... seems like something is wrong here.

before u used to be able to say tournaments are free so that adds thousands of pts a year, but tournaments all cost pt entry fees now. so that is old news.

in either case becoming pro with amazon is nonexsistent.. for the next 2 yrs i dont have to worry. but by then im hoping betting in usa is legal or else i doubt i can even afford to become pro lol

btw im joking.. i will be a pro .. i have too many pts to not be. but i wish i had sportsbook options

SBR Pro is uselss now. I'll just go back to thread trolling like the old days. If I'm going to drop 3k on anything in a several month rolling period, it's going to be on a sportsbook and on not ton of electronics that I already have.

etorro is trading foreign currencies. I'm going to use dailyjoust for pro but i'm not posting a note on the fridge to do it on friday like i had done for amazon.

It is not worthless but the fact that united states can't become with a normal sportsbook deposit shows it's best not to put things off , i put it off forever and suddenly it's no longer available.

before u used to be able to say tournaments are free so that adds thousands of pts a year, but tournaments all cost pt entry fees now. so that is old news.

u only get 6 pts EXTRA for being a pro.. not 12 bud. (pro's 12 pts daily / non pro 6 pts daily)

also poker is no longer free.. every daily poker and weekend poker costs pts now 11 per day for dailys and weekends is 50-300 depending on the event...There is no more FREE poker for pros anymore so not sure what u mean as u cant say the 12 pts are free and then charge us 11 of them entry also calling that free. LOL ...so if u wanna say u give us 12 pts as pros and charge us 11 to enter "free poker" then u only really give us 1 pt per day
.... also trivia is given Twice weekly if we are lucky and its bout 60-100 pt avg if u win and its a fp....

also contests all cost an entry fee.. its very rare to see a free "pro only" contest if ever

If u are quoting sbr's pro program from last year u are correct

If I was eligible, I'd be more than happy to try to qualify even if it cost 22pts to enter.
