#3Hi Hank,
The higher amount reflects the cost of the program. If you're buying a TV anyway, you get to become Pro at the same time. Other options have $200 requirements like you touched on, you may find those are better choices if you weren't planning a high-ticket item thru Amazon.Comment -

#7It debuted at $200 for less than 48hrs, it was actually a mistake. A $200 sale wouldn't even pay for a week of your extra log-in pts.Originally posted by Hankwins

#12The complaints on using Amazon is downright wacky. No one is making you buy stuff on Amazon. When you do, you trade money for goods, meaning you actually don't lose a dime and while youre doing it, you get to be an SBR PRO for clicking through SBR's Amazon store.Originally posted by ProfaneRealityAmazon affiliate deal must suck if you gotta make posters spend 3dimes on their site to get your cut
Amazon pays pennies on the dollar for each purchase. It's more like a CC cashback program that we can pass on to the posters who are in the market for something bigger like a TV or multiple items. It only works for that one purchase...whereas a Will Hill might pay X dollars up front for referring a customer.
Making you a PRO for $200 Amazon purchase is like SBR writing you a $400 check because you bought groceries.

#16I agree 100% and I think spending 2750 on goods and getting a pro membership is a win/win. The only disappointing thing is when you don't have 2750 to spend and knowing it debuted for $200 and I'm sure a several people lucked out and you essentially gave them a SBR pro membership for free.Originally posted by Bill DozerThe complaints on using Amazon is downright wacky. #22agreed consider 365 days a year X 6 pts extra = 2k pts.. which is not even 100$ in amazon cards... seems like something is wrong here.Originally posted by ProfaneRealityAmazon affiliate deal must suck if you gotta make posters spend 3dimes on their site to get your cut
before u used to be able to say tournaments are free so that adds thousands of pts a year, but tournaments all cost pt entry fees now. so that is old news.
in either case becoming pro with amazon is nonexsistent.. for the next 2 yrs i dont have to worry. but by then im hoping betting in usa is legal or else i doubt i can even afford to become pro lol
btw im joking.. i will be a pro .. i have too many pts to not be. but i wish i had sportsbook options

#31You get 12 points a day not 6 and that's not counting the hundreds per week in trivia on average or the free poker and sports contests. Average SBR Pro wins $400 per year.Originally posted by secretstash

#32u only get 6 pts EXTRA for being a pro.. not 12 bud. (pro's 12 pts daily / non pro 6 pts daily)Originally posted by Bill DozerYou get 12 points a day not 6 and that's not counting the hundreds per week in trivia on average or the free poker and sports contests. Average SBR Pro wins $400 per year.
also poker is no longer free.. every daily poker and weekend poker costs pts now 11 per day for dailys and weekends is 50-300 depending on the event...There is no more FREE poker for pros anymore so not sure what u mean as u cant say the 12 pts are free and then charge us 11 of them entry also calling that free. LOL
...so if u wanna say u give us 12 pts as pros and charge us 11 to enter "free poker" then u only really give us 1 pt per day
.... also trivia is given Twice weekly if we are lucky and its bout 60-100 pt avg if u win and its a fp....
also contests all cost an entry fee.. its very rare to see a free "pro only" contest if ever
If u are quoting sbr's pro program from last year u are correct
for the record I am not complaining.. just that all the free stuff is now gone for pros.. Pros pay for becoming pro and they pay the "free" pts given to them to participate in all activities.

#35stash, that tournament ends the first week in September and many people don't even play poker so their 12 a day won't go to playing. Considering the prizes on offer, I can't see how anyone would complain about paying 11pts to enter one of those daily tourneys. If I was eligible, I'd be more than happy to try to qualify even if it cost 22pts to enter.
