Tood Jones is a genuinely good guy. He may not have always pitched up to the standards or wishes of his teams' fans, but I've always liked him. Hope he has a wonderful retirement, though I suspect we will see him around in some media capacity or another.

Jones came off as a good guy in his stuff he wrote for Sporting News, or whoever that was.
But Christ, there was only so many 3 run 9th inning blown saves a Tigers fan could cope with before reaching snapping points.
Wow....Sports radio in the D must be going nuts today!

Silly me, what was I thinking. I forgot that the Tigers had some wonderful replacements already in place with guys like Farnsworth, Rodney, Willis, etc.

FWIW he was the best Tigers closer this year BY FAR.
He only blew two games (and one of them they won), after he went down the Tigers blew sooooooo many ninth inning leads

Standard mod response.
Todd Jones was decent a decade ago.
I hope he breaks his hips.

lol Standard mod response. How the hell is that a standard mod response? Have any others chimed in saying they like the guy? Oh, and 2005-06 was a little less than a decade ago.

I liked Jones, he was a pretty solid pitcher. Only guy besides Giambi that has a stache.
