When's the best time to get plane tickets, everything from Syracuse is like $600 right now. Is that standard?

looks like the closest for southwest is buffalo, about 480 for round trip.

but if you're bringing a couple bags it might be worth the drive to save a couple hundred

nope, haven't flown since I was a young kid so never had to book any flights. wouldn't mind driving to buffalo to save some money, thanks for the info. appreciate it.

you're welcome. depending on the airline those bag fees can be ridiculous. delta for example charges $25 for the 1st bag and $35 for the 2nd EACH WAY.
so that's $120 in bag fees - i'd much rather bet that $120 on a game/poker/slots or have some good food/drinks with it.

The CR bash was epic as far as live coverage and the awards etc. All the locals were awesome hosts. If this year's bash is better then it will be unforgettable. I'm probably going alone this time so I'm looking for companionship, any takers?

I hope some of the airlines lower their fares because the best price I've found over the previous month is about $475, which I'm not about to spend for a trip that's only two and a half days.

Go to bookingbuddy.com and sign up for flight alerts. They e-mail a few times a week, but you'll always find out whenever there is a flight sale and they only e-mail you flights out of the airport(s) you select.
