Who was/is the best scalp bettor at SBR.
I say Nicky or Fishhead. I bet they made most of their fortunes years ago when the offshore industry was still fairly new... bonuses, scalping...etc....

    slicker,

in the early 2000's, scalping was the greatest thing ever.. and the easiest thing to do.. not only were there tons of books with opinionated lines, but 15% to 30% cash bonuses everywhere, with no limit, and no 30 day to 90 day hold either.. with 3x rollovers... it was a freakin gold mine.. jj remembers (remember jj).. it was a great time to bet offshore.. today, no more freakin bonuses.. and whatever bonus they offer, 500 limit, or 200 limit and tighter lines. today, i dont even scalp anymore.. i just bet. scalping is not easy anymore.. it's freakin hard work.. the offshore industry has completely changed. from 2000 to 2004, if you were a bettor offshore and you liked bonuses.. and you were a bonus whore, you would have done ok.. today, the offshore world is no longer the same.. it has done a 360..

I"ll bet JJ was pretty good at hedging and working the bonuses back in the day as well.

The best guy of all times getting bonuses, scalps was Sick Gambler

          Second was probably Fishhead

You are correct about the nature of the betting industry today, except that you meant 180 degrees (360 puts you right back where you were).

Yep it was great back than, too bad all good times come to an end..you didn´t even need to find scalps, just betting evens or slightly minus was good enough to "earn" those bonuses.

hedygy and tosser, both you boys remember huh? 25% cash, 3x rollover, NO HOLD... 2 cent negative scalps everywhere. you send huge money to a book, in 5 days, you've met rollover and just made a few g's.. every book had this, and you are right, good things always do come to an end, and i knew it too.. it was just too easy..

jj, you have a great memory.. Sick Gambler owned these bonuses and scalps, btw, do you remember you were part of the 12 man jury of the famous sick gambler trial, which he was found innocent.. OF COURSE... jj, i spoke to him a few months back and he really was sincere when he told me to tell you .. THANK YOU for that. he really appreciated it and said you were a main part of that trial..

That trial was classic, some people/posters tried to railroad Sick Gambler but the truth won out and he was acquitted of all charges.

I remember he was funded in 41 books back then and was scalping everything and collecting some bonuses, hard work though.
