John Clayton on ESPN this morning said Vilma is looking at a minimum of 10 games.

And Z-----NO problem isn't going to be defense, who is going to be as good a play caller as Sean Payton is/was?

Martin in case you didn't know Carmichael called all majority of the plays last year after Payton went down till the end of the year.

Carmichael is the one who put 60 on the Colts, 40+ on the Falcons whenever brees broke the record, 40 + on the Giants, 40+ on the Lions. Carmichael been with the Saints since 2006 when Payton brought him down here from San Diego. Carmichael was with San Diego when Brees was there. Keep listening to the ESPN hype if you want, this Saints team will be ok and still is a playoff team!

Packer fan here, so unbiased comment. The length of these suspensions is absurd.

The concept of "bounty" sounds bad, but in practice what does that mean? It implies that you could knock out an opposing player any time you want. Wrong, you hit him as hard as you can on every play. Dirty tactics are flagged, so the bounty concept is vague.

For damaging the NFL brand name and allowing it to go on, Payton should have been suspended 4 games. That's it.

If the Saints defense was playing dirty im seure the refs would have flagged them. I'm sure there would have been fines. Actually the Saints defense was at the bottom of the league when it come to fines.

This whole thing as far as Payton punishment is a joke. But to be honest this proves to me that Goodell have to much power, and most presidents and such have a board to approve such things. Goodell dont have that!
