I am surely going to watch a lot of games from both these clubs..both are loaded with young talent. Miami may be more exciting to watch in the brand of baseball they play but I expect the Nationals to win the Wild Card. very deep pitching and power line up. I don't really have a team in baseball, tho it has always been my favorite sport..this year I think I'll be backing the Nats. can't wait to see Strasburg opening day.
whos going to be the more exciting young and up coming team to watch, Nats or Fish?

#4I've always wondered, when teams cap a guy's innings like that and they are expected to be in a playoff race, why don't they just start his season a month late so you can not worry about his innings after that.Originally posted by bobby heenanitll be intersting to see how the nats look when they call up harper in july or whatever....have to think the 160 innings cap on strasburg could hurt them...Comment -

theres always the chance theyd scrap that cap if they got there....but im not sure....they are saying they wouldnt if they made it to the playoffs.....would be sad to see them get there and not have him availableComment -

#6Maybe they'll give him 2 weeks off every once in a while if it is possible to leave some innings available for the playoffs. With his arm history already bad, I doubt they will bend on that cap.Originally posted by bobby heenanwell you need to get to the playoffs first....if hes ready to go hes ready to go

its my 2nd favorite team sport behind football.....i was good at both...but the older i get now the more i miss baseball...the laid back nature of it.....its sad that alot of kids get turned away from it because there isnt constant action or motion....the higher the level you played it at the more you appreciate it i think.....i have guys at work that love football and still say things like "ahhh baseball thats not a sport" kind of joking....yet they think fishing is like awesome...lolComment -

#8these inning caps are ridiculous. just let the guy pitch. especially if your going to be in contention. no one knows at how many specific innings when a guys arm is gonna go dead or whatever. theres no predicting it. Nolan Ryan hates pitch counts and putting a cap on guys innings. in the old days Goose was considered a closer and he pitched 3 damn innings to close out the game and every one of them pitches were considered "high stress level pitches"Originally posted by bobby heenanitll be intersting to see how the nats look when they call up harper in july or whatever....have to think the 160 innings cap on strasburg could hurt them...
limit the kids curve ball a bit so theres not as much torque in his elbow/arm what not and play it by ear.Comment -

#9Yeah, my generation doesn't like baseball. It is a shame. While we were winning 3 state championships in high school, the football team was going 5-5 and outdrawing us badly. Its unfortunate.Comment -

#10I was raised a Mets fan. was a die hard. was at game 7 in the NLCS when Endy Chavez made that catch over the wall robbing a home run and than Beltran struck out looking in the 9th on Wainwrights curveball to end the game.Originally posted by bobby heenanzoo...wild that you love baseball and dont have a team

their ownership is just so ridiculous and after all these collapses and terrible years without trying to improve and its drove me off the cliff from even want to follow them anymore. i almost despise them. maybe one day the Wilpons will sell the team and things will be different who knows.Comment -
