That's a good time to come down here. Festivities all around through the month of December, first week of January is slow with the Reyes Magos celebration and more Catholic stuff.

Managua has a nice weather around that time of year, very fresh and breezy at night, you will hardly feel the humidity.

If you are looking for casinos there's a nice stable group around the city center. I know nine of them within a mile radius, and lots more scattered around the city. All casinos feature table games; blackjack, poker, caribbean stud, roulette are the more popular ones. All of them accept US Dollar and local currency so there's no problem with that. At the bigger joints, beer and other alcohol are comped with action, also food and cigarettes. That's one thing though, pay outs are ridiculous at some of this games, you can pretty much expect all games to have a much worse pay out then what you are use to.

There's one call the Pharaohs which is the best of all, it features live music, live boxing on weekends, hostes and other such amenities. Most all casinos are small in comparison to American casinos but that's hardly an issue.

Not all of them feature sports books, only around three or four of the top ones do, you can find a couple of CRIS outlets also. In the sports books you will find everything pertaining to American sports with American style odds. Baseball and American Football is the two main sports of this country betting-wise. -110 is the standard.

When it comes to getting pussy, there's a variety of ways. The direct method is the brothels, there are around six big ones through the city, the standard price is $10 for a fvck till you come or a 30 minutes cap, they are local girls and are fairly kept on the cleaness department. Some of this are hookers but most of them are just local girls looking to party with no money. You can find hot pieces, specially if you got some street sense. This would be the best way if you are going to be here for more than a week as you can get phone numbers and dates and pretty friends.

Hotels aren't that expensive compared to North American prices, you can find the American type joint for around $100 bucks a night with very good safety and monitoring right in the city center with everything you come to expect. Also you can go for much cheaper options from the $40-$75 which are just as good with the same amenities but maybe a bit further from the city center. I would recommend staying at one of this as they are highly monitored and safety is not a concerned. Then you can find from the $10-$35 mark for some real standard stuff, bed, key, fan, breakfast and that's it. I would say this joints can be as safe as the middle ones but you will find them in neighborhoods where the locals are, and the negative of that is being out late at night. Taxis will be more expensive going into this neighborhoods (for the foreigners) and sometimes you cannot even trust the taxi man themselves. But I have no problem staying at them.

use to catch a lot of people from managua when i was in the border patrol. They didnt like it to much, but sounds like a cool place. I know i have sent money to about 200 people there thanks to some sportsbooks so I should have a lot of friends

rogie, you are the man.. i am now thinking of cancelling my DR plans to go Nicaragua, thanks to your post.. i think we should get 8 posters here.. jgm, plommer, jj, richie, me, panner, and a few others and go party like crazy in Nicaragua and meet rogie and all of us get laid up there and get drunk.. it'd be one of the greatest vacations of all time.. and at night, we all head out to casino/sportsbook and all bet together, and late at night, we all go get laid.. maybe bring 5 girls in the room with 5 guys and just go nuts and have lots of laughs with them, and make them say Sbr.. and so on..

Nicky ,that sounds like a plan .I would like to go in January or the new year,I have to get my video equipment and music equipment and have budgeted the money after rent and expenses over the next few months for that but I could swing it in the new year. Costa rica is right in rogues backyard too.
