Al Davis, Nabob of Raiders - End of the Line?
    He's thinking of firing Kiffen?

His team has one win and two losses, the last a one pointer vs a good Buffalo team, travelling to East Coast.

Al is almost 80 years old. Crochety, and probably with senility onsetting. Demetia at the least.

Gone, foreever likely, are the glory days when he was in playoffs every year, and won Super Bowls.

The blowout a few years back in the SB at the hands of Tampa was the beginning of the end. (I recall it well, the heaviest series of bets I ever made, all on Bucs of course)

Give it up, Al. There's a lawn chair on a Malibu beach waiting for you.

On the other hand, all fans have to have a grudging affection for ol' Al.

The last of the old time owners in the corporatized NFL.

None of these guys left except brother Al, who was both a head coach and (later) an owner.

Halas at Chicago. George i think has been gone many years.

Was Paul Brown of Bengals once a head coach.

Maybe a handful of others, mostly from the 20s and 30s.

When Al is gone, will he be electied to the Hall of Fame?

Ralph Wilson has to be just as old, if not even older.

Bills are moving to Toronto, anyhow.

        Check out Al's behavior.

If McCain is elected, and then re-elected, he will be Al's age near the end of his second term.

He'll be firing his Sec of State every month.

Trading California to China for the right to sell Arzona Indian jewelry to Hong Kong.

Best to pass on voting for ol' John. Unlike Al's, John's team will have atomic warheads

Yeah, but Wilson doesn't inject himself into the day to day operations like Al does. The Raiders are, literally, Al's life.

And i think Marv Levy (another ancient mariner) calls the shots at Buffalo. Or did he leave?

Imagine any really good GM trying to work for Al. No way.

Did not know that Bills are moving to Toronto. That a done deal?

Not a done deal but will happen within the next 5 years.
