Lets say you are on a Sports Betting Reality Show with 11 other sports bettors. It's a game/contest type show where 1 person is kicked off the show each week. Grand prize for winning the show is 1 million dollars. On day 1 of the show you are informed that each contestant gets to choose a person to help them win the show. You get to choose between having a Sports Expert on your team or having a Mathematician on your team. You don't know anything else about them except that none of them have ever gambled a single day in their life. You will have full Internet access the entire time and you will ultimately be in charge of all the decisions made. Your other team member is just there to help you make your decisions. Who do you choose for your other team member? A Sports Expert or a Math Mathematician?

#7I would take the Mathematician as well. This brings me to my next question. Who has a better chance of winning in Sports Betting...
Guy #1 He's 28 years old and has watched a minimum of 40 hours of Sports a week on TV since he was 5 years old. Needless to say... he knows a lot about sports. He has never once ever gambled on sports because of his religion.
Guy #2 He is also 28 years old. He's a Mathematician. He has absolutely no interest in Sports and he never has. Needless to say... he also has never gambled on a sporting event.
Guy #1 has recently become less religious and has decided that he thinks he could make a lot of money betting on Sports.
Guy #2 A fellow Mathematician he went to school with recently told him how much he is making on Sports betting and suggested to him that he could make a killing as well.
Who has a better chance of winning long term? Guy #1 or Guy #2?Comment -

#13Sports experts don't know shit. We all have friends who are die hard fans of at least one sport. I personally have a friend who has watched NHL since he was 4 or 5 years old. He can name every single player on every team. Not only would be NEVER take a dog, even on the spread, he expects favs and dogs to always be at even money. This is why he doesn't gamble much. He is 10-26 lifetime, and that is almost all juiced up NHL favs.Comment -
